What We Do

Two volunteers pulling a disabled sailor in a sail boat to the shore

As its corporate volunteerism programme, NOL is committed to helping Sailability grow. Aside from the funds raised by the employees, the volunteers within the company also contribute in other ways. Hence, you'd find that the NOL volunteers are involved in all aspects of the programme together with SSCD; planning & development, fund-raising, transportation, care giving and more. It is through this that the company hopes to develop its staff and see the programme rise above all odds with the ultimate objective of providing a valuable service back to the community.

Every Sunday, a group of NOL volunteers provide transport for the sailors that need to get to Changi Sailing Club. Once arriving at Changi Sailing Club, they help other volunteers in preparing the boats, rigging the sails and assisting the sailors onto the boats before launching it out to sea. Where opportunity arises, the volunteers also participate in the sailing. It is within this casual and friendly environment that the volunteers and sailors get to interact closely with each other, have a little bit of fun and enjoy their Sundays at the club.
